20mm Micro Geared Stepper Motor With Gearbox 2 Phase 4 Wire Mini Gear Stepper Motor With Gearbox

Round geared stepper motor 20mm micro Geared Stepping Motor 2 phase 4 wire mini gear stepper motor with Gearbox
Description:
20mm Micro Geared Stepper Motor With Gearbox 2 Phase 4 Wire Gear ratio 1:10~1:488.3

SM20-020L-GEAR MOTOR 20mm stepper motor is composed of a miniature stepper motor with an outer diameter of 20mm and a precision metal gearbox. The deceleration ratio can be customized according to the customer's needs.

The deceleration ratio of this image is 1:195.3, This series of stepper motor deceleration ratio has:1:10 1:12.5 1:25 1:31.25 1:50 1:62.5 1:78.1 1:100 1:125 1:156.25 1:195.3 1:250 1:312.5 1:390.6 1:488.3

The basic stepping Angle of the motor is 18 degrees, which is 20 steps per lap. Combined with the deceleration effect of the reduction gearbox, the rotation Angle resolution of the final motor can reach 0.05~6 degrees.

The customer can select the speed reduction ratio according to different torque speed requirements, and at the same time, the appropriate driving frequency of the stepper motor can achieve the determined speed and torque.

Application of stepper motors:

Precise control - Stepper motors provide inherently digital motion control, allowing for precise positioning and speed regulation. Their step and direction inputs enable accurate and repeatable movement in small increments.

Wide application range - Geared stepper motors are used across many industries due to their versatility and functionality. They are well suited for:

Medical devices - Due to their accuracy, speed and long life, geared steppers are commonly used in medical equipment such as pumps, inspection tools, imaging systems and rehabilitation devices.

3D printers - Geared steppers provide the precise motion control needed for the layer-by-layer material dispensing in 3D printing. Their ability to hold position enables accurate 3D object production.

Industrial automation - In automation systems, geared steppers position components and move parts with micron-level resolution. They are used in pick-and-place machines, conveyors, packaging lines and assembly systems.

Compact size - Due to their smaller size, 20mm geared steppers can be easily integrated into space constrained applications. Their compact dimensions also allow for lower inertia and faster response.

High torque - Gearing increases the torque output of stepper motors, enabling them to drive heavier loads. 20mm geared steppers can provide torque from 0.4 Nm up to 10 Nm or more, depending on gears and motor size.

Low speed/high thrust - Gearing reduces the motor speed while increasing thrust, enabling the precise positioning of heavy loads at low speeds. This makes geared steppers well suited for applications requiring higher thrust.

Repeatability - Geared steppers can achieve high repeatability due to their ability to remember their last position even when power is removed. This allows for consistent performance over long operational life.

In summary, 20mm geared stepper motors offer distinct performance benefits including precise positioning abilities, compact size, high torque capabilities, adaptability to multiple applications and good repeatability. Their inherent digital motion control, in combination with gearing, produces a cost-effective and well-performing motor solution for tasks requiring accurate motion.

Advantage of stepper motors:
Stepper motor can reach precise control even without close-loop encoders / without feed back system, also they do not have electrical brushed. Thus there is no electromagnetic interference and electrical sparks issues. In some cases, they can replace DC brushed motors/ brushless motors.
Stepper motors are easy to control with drivers, and this feature establish its important position in the field of precise control.

Precise control and programmability - Geared steppers have high positioning resolution and accuracy due to their ability to move and hold in precise increments in response to control signals. This allows for repeatable and precise motor control. They can be easily programmed with digital step and direction inputs.

No electromagnetic interference or sparks - As there are no brushes or commutators, geared steppers generate no EMI or sparks which can cause issues in sensitive environments. This makes them suitable for use near electronic equipment.

Compact size - At 20mm, geared steppers offer a small footprint that enables easy integration into space constrained applications. Their compact dimensions also allow for lower inertia and faster response.

Reasonable price - Compared to servo motors, geared steppers are often more cost-effective due to their simpler design and lower part counts. Their prices scale well with size.

Low noise - Geared steppers produce minimal acoustic noise during operation as they have no sliding commutation or friction present. This makes them suitable for applications where noise is a concern.

Long operational life - When operated within their specifications, geared steppers typically provide many years of reliable service life. Their longevity stems from having no mechanical commutation and few wear parts.

High torque - Gearing significantly increases the torque output of stepper motors, allowing 20mm units to drive heavier loads than non-geared motors of the same size.

In summary, 20mm geared stepping motors offer a unique combination of precise positioning, compact size, high torque, low cost, ease of use, longevity and low noise output. These attributes, coupled with their versatility and wide application range, make them well-suited as a motion solution for tasks requiring accuracy, control and larger thrust capabilities.

Stepper motors are widely used among all industries.
